Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Newburgh, NY seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for 4/10’s Tuesday–Friday (7:30am–6pm). You will administer chemotherapy and biologic agents, monitor patients, and collaborate with a care team to support patients and families.

Requirements include NY RN license and BLS. Proficiency with EMR and strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills are essential for delivering high-quality cancer care.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN License.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, and supportive meds as prescribed by a physician.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the MAR.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise.
• Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment expectations and follow-up care.
