New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patients across multiple NYC locations, including Yorkville, Upper East Side, Kips Bay, and Washington Heights. The role involves administering chemotherapy and biologic agents, monitoring vitals, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

You will educate patients and families, participate in cancer research trials, and ensure safety with PPE and infection control.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with an EMR system preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to NYCBS locations.

Responsabilités

• Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and document in MAR.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in cancer research trials and administer protocol medications.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families about treatment expectations and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient status during chemotherapy/immunotherapy and adjust as needed.

Join our growing organization and help us bring healing, hope, and advanced care to the communities we proudly serve. ## **In This Role, You Will:*** Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician* Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.* Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record* Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge* Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol* Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness* Teach patients and caregivers families regarding treatment expectations.* Monitor patient status during the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.* Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.* Educate patients and caregivers about follow up care and emergency services## **We Require:*** Valid New York State RN License* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.* Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.* Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching* Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.* Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs## **What We Offer:*** Salary: Starting at $58 per hour based on experience* Benefits: Health Insurance on day 1, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability,* 401k Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), 8 paid holidays (2 floating) Join us at NYCBS, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.
