Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian licensed in Georgia to support the Inpatient Eating Disorders team at Children’s Scottish Rite Hospital. A master’s degree in nutrition and licensure eligibility in Georgia are required.

The role also includes training in ED, ICUs, and General Pediatrics. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for the right candidate. The dietitian will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient- and family-centered nutrition

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nutrition (or related field) and eligible for licensure in Georgia.
• Licensed Georgia dietitian (RD) or able to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Pediatric nutrition experience preferred (inpatient or outpatient).
• RD registration and Georgia licensure required within 3 months if not current.

Responsabilités

• Determines nutritional assessment using age- and developmentally appropriate standards.
• Recommends medical nutrition therapy and evaluates response.
• Educates patient and family on nutritional therapy with age-appropriate methods.
• Advises groups on pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as needed.

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian with a license in Georgia to work with the important Inpatient Eating Disorders team at Children’s Scottish Rite Hospital.

To qualify for this role, applicants must have a master’s degree in nutrition (or related field) and eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia

In addition to Eating Disorders, this Dietitian would also be trained in Children’s Emergency Department, ICUs & General Pediatrics.

Participates as interdisciplinary patient care team member to provide nutritional services and education to meet needs of identified patient population within the scope of the medical center’s mission and values.

Experience

• Pediatric nutrition experience in inpatient or outpatient setting preferred, but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric populations

Education

• Dietitians credentialed prior to 12/31/23: Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
• Dietitians credentialed after 12/31/23: Master’s of Science or Public Health in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Certification Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Determines nutritional assessment using age and developmentally appropriate standards.
• Recommends appropriate medical nutritional therapy for assigned patients and evaluates response to medical nutritional therapy and determines change.
• Instructs patient and family related to nutritional therapy which incorporates age-appropriate developmental standards. Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides effective education appropriate for learning needs of patient and family.
• Advises groups related to pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as required.
• Implements departmental standards for documenting all aspects of work-related activities.
• Participates as member of interdisciplinary team.
• Directs and evaluates dietetic interns/students.
• Maintains professional development responsibilities.
• Performs other responsibilities as required, including but not limited to departmental committee participation and annual competencies.
