Job summary

The role of Registered Dietitian at Kane Dietitians in Pittsburgh is to assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to optimize nutritional status, and improve quality of life aligned with individual goals.

You will provide nutrition expertise to the care team, educate patients, staff, and consultants, and ensure adherence to standards of practice and regulatory requirements, while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must pass the national CDR exam or meet eligibility requirements per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participating in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
