Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in our long-term care communities, following physicians’ orders and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, an active RD license, and membership with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, plus 2 years LTC experience or 1 year as a consulting RD; salary is negotiable and full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and active state license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Two years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one year as a registered consulting dietitian.
• Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with physicians’ orders and with current standards and regulations, following health, sanitary and infection control policies.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with the physicians’ orders and with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and must hold an active state license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one (1) year experience as a registered consulting dietitian.
• Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
