Job summary

Rosewood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to ensure the nutritional well-being of residents. You will create personalized meal plans, provide nutrition counseling, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

This role requires a registered dietitian (RD) or eligibility with CDR, a bachelor's in nutrition or dietetics, and healthcare experience, preferably in gerontological settings.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
• Healthcare experience with gerontological dietetics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement comprehensive care plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust meal plans as needed.
• Stay updated with research and advancements in nutrition and gerontological dietetics.

Registered Dietician Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents' nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans that cater to their specific requirements
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and fellow staff members
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address residents' nutritional needs
• Monitor and track resident progress, making adjustments to meal plans as necessary
• Staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in nutrition and gerontological dietetics
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition and dietetics

Registered Dietician Requirements:

• Must be a registered dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
