Novara Healthcare Services is seeking a Dietitian (Full-time, Mon-Fri) to promote healthy nutrition for residents in our facility in Sullivan, NY. You will assess nutritional needs and develop personalized plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.

You will design meals, educate residents and staff, monitor intake, and adjust plans to support health. Strong communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary group are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dietary counseling, with long-term care or healthcare facility experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate others effectively.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team.

As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met and that they receive appropriate care based on their individual health conditions and dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Nutrition Assessment: Evaluate the nutritional needs of residents through assessments and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized dietary plans.
• Meal Planning: Develop and implement nutritious, balanced meal plans tailored to individual medical needs, preferences, and dietary restrictions.
• Education and Support: Educate residents, families, and staff about the importance of nutrition in maintaining health and preventing disease.
• Dietary Monitoring: Monitor residents' nutritional intake and make adjustments as necessary, ensuring their ongoing health and comfort.
• Collaborative Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to address residents' overall health needs, adjusting dietary plans as part of an interdisciplinary care approach.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all meal planning and dietary services comply with state and federal regulations. Keep accurate records of all nutrition-related care.
• Staff Training: Provide training and support to kitchen staff and others in the facility to ensure proper food preparation and dietary compliance.
