Rosewood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Pottsville, PA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our caregiving team. The RD will design individualized meal plans, provide nutrition counseling to residents and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident well-being.

Responsibilities include assessments, counseling, care plan development, progress monitoring, staying current with research in gerontological nutrition, and contributing to nutrition policies.

Formación

• Must be a registered dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration with the CDR.
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting, with gerontological dietetics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

Registered Dietician Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents' nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans that cater to their specific requirements
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and fellow staff members
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address residents' nutritional needs
• Monitor and track resident progress, making adjustments to meal plans as necessary
• Staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in nutrition and gerontological dietetics
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition and dietetics

Registered Dietician Requirements:

• Must be a registered dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on gerontological dietetics preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
