Job summary

Dentists of Hudson Oaks and Orthodontics is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dental procedures and patient care. You will assist the dentist, operate radiography equipment, and ensure a welcoming, sterile office environment.

Responsibilities include taking x-rays, intra-oral pictures, preparing patients, and educating them on oral care. Compliance with safety and privacy regulations is required. This local role offers opportunities to grow skills within a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED plus mandated state training.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by state (e.g. radiograph exposure, etc).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment for each patient.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors to provide efficient dental care.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral care as directed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control and regulatory requirements.
