Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered at St. Anne Hospital. The role performs diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound to assess heart function, including transthoracic and transesophageal studies and stress testing.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology (preferred), BLS, and ARDMS/CCI credentials. EPIC EHR and PACS experience are desirable; on-call hours are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology or related study (preferred).
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).
• BLS certification required; credentialed in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography exams using ultrasound to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Displays knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses EPIC EHR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
