Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered for St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The role performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound tests, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, as well as stress testing, to evaluate heart function.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in a related health science field and BLS certification. RDCS or RCS credentials are preferred, with on-call hours required and EHR/PACS experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in applied health science with a cardiovascular/ultrasound concentration preferred.
• Current BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Cardiac imaging credentials: RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required/preferred.
• EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of Cardiac Sonographer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations (TTE, TEE) and stress testing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, procedures, and result interpretation.
• Prepare and monitor patients before and during procedures.
• Utilize EMR to review patient info and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
