Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Imaging Services team. The role operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and invasive procedures, delivering patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

You will collaborate with radiologists and maintain equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting. Requirements include graduation from an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, at least 2 years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Minimum 2 years of related hospital inpatient or outpatient cardiac sonography experience.
• BCLS Basic Life Support certification required; ARDCS or RCS certification in at least 2 specialties.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment and communicates with radiologists.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology across age groups (neonatal to geriatrics).

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

• 2 years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Required

Licenses and Certifications
