Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for a full-time day shift. You will operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures, while ensuring patient care across all age groups.

Requirements include ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification (or eligibility) and a registry-approved ultrasound program; BLS is required. A sign-on bonus is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to IAC.
• Must have ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification (or eligible) and obtain within 12 months of hire.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups (neonatal, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics).
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

• Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.
• Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
