Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic exams per established standards. Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent.
• ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups (neonatal to geriatric) and communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Shift: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program, a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.
• Must obtain appropriate credential within twelve months of hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
