Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in Warrensville Heights, OH. This in-person, part-time role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism, through ABA services delivered at home and in community settings.

You'll implement intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate, coordinated care. Minimum HS diploma and 18+ years required.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism.
  • Understanding of ABA techniques and data collection.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • HIPAA familiarity and confidentiality of medical records.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
  • Assist in care plan development and implementation.
  • Use ABA techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records.

Job Overview

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by providing in-home and community based ABA services. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination
Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
