Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. Provide in-home and community ABA services to individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism, under supervision of a BCBA.

This role offers meaningful impact and opportunities to grow in behavioral health. You will collect data, implement intervention plans, collaborate with the care team, and maintain confidential records while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with developmental disabilities/ autism preferred.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
  • HIPAA confidentiality knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (100%).

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Utilize ABA techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination.

Job Overview

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by providing in-home and community based ABA services. Responsibilities


  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Collect data on client behavior during sessions

  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

  • Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination


Skills


  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism

  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
