Job summary

Choice Healthcare Services in California is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and passing items as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a California RDA license, X-ray certification, and be capable of assisting doctors during procedures, taking radiographs, performing prophylaxis, and maintaining charting and treatment plans with the dentist. BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• California Registered Dental Assistant License required.
• X-Ray Certification required.
• Coronal Polish Certification may be required.
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays.
• Prophy teeth and instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor; sterilizes instruments.
• Setups and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment.
• Take IO's and perform charting; sealants if applicable.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $20.77-27.84/hour (Based on experience)
