Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a Regional Workplace Safety Manager to lead safety programs across transportation terminals, warehouse facilities, and offices within the assigned region. You will partner with operational leadership to advance a culture of safety, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across our network.

You will apply knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and related regulations, deliver safety training, conduct audits, and analyze KPIs to drive performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive workplace safety experience supporting transportation, logistics, warehousing, or similar operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA, DOT regulations and safety management systems.
• Experience implementing safety programs across multiple facilities or sites.
• Proven ability to conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety training and influencing stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
• Develop and improve regional safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with operations to identify hazards and reduce risk.
• Conduct inspections, safety audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training to employees, drivers, contractors, and leaders.
• Analyze safety KPIs and present performance updates to leadership.
• Support new facilities, changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Travel extensively within the region to cover facilities.
