Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Wholesale Market Area Manager to oversee sales and service agreements with GM dealerships, external fleet customers, and IAM stores within a defined territory. You will consult with dealers to implement business plans that boost sales, service levels, and customer satisfaction, while coordinating marketing efforts and inventory management.

You will travel up to 75% across NC, SC, and parts of VA/WV, mentoring dealers, analyzing market data, and driving revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales, Service, or Operations with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
• Strong automotive industry knowledge and business acumen, including wholesale, aftersales, service & parts operations and customer experience management highly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75% to different locations within your territory.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Suite including data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between GM, dealerships, external fleet customers, and IAM stores.
• Provide mentoring and consulting to help dealers and IAM stores meet monthly and annual sales and service objectives.
• Track dealership CSI results and other customer feedback to identify deficiencies and opportunities.
• Support product launches by coordinating marketing and advertising activities among dealers, IAM stores, and GM.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor personnel training and support compliance with GM requirements and objectives.
• Support inventory management, including vehicle and parts ordering and inventory balancing.
• Analyze dealer sales, local market conditions, and competitive activity to identify revenue opportunities.
• Support efforts to increase sales of GM vehicles and parts and assist with customer problem resolution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
