Job summary

General Motors seeks a field-based Wholesale Market Area Manager to drive sales and service initiatives across a defined territory. This role collaborates with GM, dealerships, external fleet customers, and IAM stores to implement business plans, analyze data, and coordinate marketing efforts.

You will travel to dealerships, support launches, and strengthen dealer performance, CSI, and revenue growth. The position requires 75% travel, relocation flexibility within the region, and a proven track

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales, Service, or Operations with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
• Strong automotive industry knowledge and business acumen, including wholesale, aftersales, service & parts operations and customer experience management highly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75% to different locations within your territory.
• Proficiency in Google Workplace or Microsoft Suite including data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between GM, dealerships, external fleet customers, and IAM stores.
• Provide mentoring and consulting to help dealers and IAM stores meet monthly and annual sales and service objectives.
• Track dealership CSI results and other customer feedback to identify deficiencies and opportunities.
• Support product launches by coordinating marketing and advertising activities among dealers, IAM stores, and GM.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor training and compliance with GM requirements and objectives.
• Support inventory management, including vehicle and parts ordering and inventory balancing.
• Analyze dealer sales, local market conditions, and competitive activity to identify revenue opportunities.
• Assist with customer problem resolution and increase sales of GM vehicles and parts.
