Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities. You will assist in training local teams, maintain compliance, troubleshoot processes, and support new account startups while traveling as needed.

You will operate pumps and valves, collect samples, and maintain records to ensure safe, compliant plant operation and continuous service for clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and unplanned absences.
• Provide hands-on training and develop electronic training materials for technicians.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are used across facilities.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team and training.
• Troubleshoot process issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate pumps, valves, and electric motors to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform lab testing to determine concentrations.
• Keep accurate records of chemical residuals, turbidity and water pressure.
• Coordinate with maintenance for third-party services outside Veolia's scope of work.
• Be available to travel 1–4 weeks at a time as required.
