Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Traveling Wastewater Operator to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities. The role includes training local technicians, implementing process changes for compliance, and providing troubleshooting support.

Expect significant travel, including multi-week assignments, with rotations across day and night shifts. The position emphasizes on-site operation, maintenance, and data collection, with safety and regulatory compliance as priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google suite required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.
• Willingness to learn and take instruction on wastewater processes.
• Operational experience with site equipment; 3+ years in wastewater ops preferred.
• Traveling work role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training and electronic resources for technicians.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are followed at all sites.
• Support new account start-ups with the SWOT team and training.
• Provide troubleshooting and proactive decisions for process issues.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate flow to WWTP.
• Collect and test wastewater samples; record data accurately.
