Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Wastewater Operations professional to cover vacations across contracted facilities, train local teams, and support new startups. The role includes process changes for compliance, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, lab testing, and daily reporting.

Significant travel is required, including 1–2 weeks away from home, potentially up to a month for certain assignments. The position emphasizes safety, data-driven process improvements, and collaboration with the SWOT team

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities in designated region during vacations/absences.
• Develop the operational capabilities of local technicians through on-site training and materials.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices across Veolia facilities are followed.
• Support new account start-ups with tasks, procedures, and technician training.
• Provide troubleshooting support to local technicians and guide proactive decision-making.
• Operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate water flow into WWTPs.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and maintain accurate records.
