Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Columbus, OH is seeking a District Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple sites within an assigned region. This role translates company objectives into local plans, manages budgets, staffing, and safety standards, and drives growth through operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in waste/transport ops with multi-site leadership, strong P&L experience, and a track record of building

Qualifications

8–10 years in waste management or transportation operations with multi-site leadership.
Knowledge of safety regulations (DOT, OSHA).
Experience managing budgets, P&L across several locations.
Experience with municipal contracts, community relations, or government partnerships.
SWANA certification preferred or environmental compliance training.

Responsibilities

Oversee District performance across safety, service, cost, productivity, and compliance.
Lead and develop managers and ensure consistent execution of company standards.
Manage District budgets, forecasting, and capital planning, and oversee P&L.
Drive district growth including organic growth and M&A opportunities.
Support talent management — hiring, training, and leadership promotion.
Collaborate with regional leadership to align strategy with company goals.
