Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Covington, KY seeks a Region Safety Manager to lead safety programs across hauling, landfill, recycling and transfer operations. You will drive regulatory compliance, reduce injuries, and promote a proactive safety culture while coordinating with Operations, HR and Corporate Safety.

The role requires OSHA 500 and extensive field experience, with travel within the region and strong leadership to mentor safety personnel. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years keeping detailed records in a safety environment.
• Experience interpreting federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Strong teamwork and people-management skills.
• Experience with DOT and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day safety operations of the region.
• Develop and monitor safety initiatives to promote a safe workplace.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and administer departmental budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
• Ensure DOT/OSHA compliance across facilities.
