Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling seeks a Region Landfill Manager to oversee regional landfill operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive cost-efficient productivity. You will manage budgets, lead teams, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to achieve safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates have extensive landfill and management experience, with strong leadership, communication, and safety focus. Travel between sites and nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have waste industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years landfill experience or equivalent.
• Must have prior management experience involving managing P&L.
• Must be able to pass state EPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct management of all regional landfill operations in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Develop and maintain the operational business plan for the region to include program requirements, labor hours, cycle production costs and images/blueprints.
• Ensure all regional landfills comply with EPA and state/local regulations and inspections.
• Work with Landfill Managers to establish production and quality control standards.
• Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards across the region.
