Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial casualty underwriting with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and broker relationship development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a Midwest broker network.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a Midwest underwriting team across General Liability, Liquor Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Automobile.
• Solicit, analyze, and underwrite new and renewal business aligned with regional goals.
• Oversee risk assessment and pricing for each policy based on data interpretation.
• Prepare and issue indications, quotations, and binders for own and team accounts.
• Provide weekly pipeline reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Build strong broker and client relationships to drive growth and service quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the Midwest.
• Travel within the region as needed.
