Job summary

Dal-Tile is seeking a Sales Representative to join our team and support top accounts in the region. You will conduct weekly sales calls, prepare sales and call reports, and analyze local market conditions to drive growth and protect margin.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (some college preferred), be proficient in Word and Excel (Lotus Notes/email experience a plus), and possess a reliable vehicle with a clean driving record to visit customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college highly preferred.
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/email. Clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.
• 4 years prior selling experience.
• Prior customer service experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts weekly sales calls with existing customers and cold calls to new prospects.
• Prepares weekly Sales and Call reports.
• Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and a travel calendar.
• Conducts area market analysis of top accounts and dealers/ contractors/ builders.
• Researches area market product data to tailor sales strategy.
• Grows market share by increasing sales while maintaining margins.
• Completes Positive Action Forms for displays resulting in a display or sale.
• Uses negotiation skills to place displays in customers showrooms.
• Conducts client follow-ups via phone, letters and emails.
• Establishes and maintains client files with timely follow ups on programs.
• Provides PK seminars to customers.
• Utilizes On Demand reporting to achieve sales objectives.
• Performs other duties as required.
