Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Regional Operations Manager for the Global Threat Assessment Program. You will lead a regional team, triage reports, supervise investigations, and ensure rigorous documentation while coordinating with global stakeholders. Remote‑eligible in the US.

The role requires 5+ years in threat assessment or related fields, strong communication, open‑source research skills, and willingness to travel within the region. Travel and collaboration opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in threat assessment, investigations, law enforcement, intelligence, or related field.
• Hands-on threat assessment case experience: triaged, assessed, and managed cases involving targeted violence or similar subjects.
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to summarize complex cases for stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present recommendations with confidence.
• Experience in a globally distributed team with cross-regional collaboration.
• Mastery of open source research and online investigative techniques.
• Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively across functions.
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to Airbnb’s core values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day GTAP operations within the assigned region and align with Airbnb’s mission.
• Lead a regional team of threat assessment managers and manage performance expectations.
• Triage incoming reports, investigations and structured threat assessments, and drive cases to resolution.
• Maintain rigorous case documentation that is explainable, consistent, and auditable.
• Coordinate with Global Operations and other Regional Managers for consistency across regions.
• Track regional caseload metrics and provide data for program-wide reporting.
• Identify regional throughput issues and raise findings with analysis and proposed action.
• Establish partnerships with local stakeholders to exchange threat information and reduce risks.
• Manage relationships with law enforcement partners, investigators, researchers, and vendors.
