Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior leader for Fraud and Safety Operations to drive proactive fraud identification and mitigation. You will own strategy, disrupt upstream risks, and build systemic defenses that protect hosts, guests, and the marketplace.

You will lead a team, work with data science, product, safety, and legal partners, and report on fraud intelligence to executives. This US-based role is remote-eligible and may require occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership in fraud intelligence, risk analytics, or related fields.
• Ability to connect trend-level insights to fraud patterns and systemic risk.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills; experience building dashboards.
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies and risk controls.
• Strong written and executive-facing communication skills.
• Knowledge of cyber risk frameworks and platform security.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team to analyze large-scale fraud signals and translate into platform controls.
• Analyze fraud trends using SQL/Python and visualise findings for decision-making.
• Collaborate with data, product, safety, legal, and policy teams to deploy new defenses.
• Develop executive investigative reports and fraud intelligence summaries.
• Respond to critical incidents to protect platform integrity.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual lift.
