Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is a leading distributor of heavy equipment in the central United States. The Territory Manager will grow market share within an assigned sales area by planning coverage, delivering effective sales presentations, and handling related duties.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction equipment sales, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Three (3) years of construction equipment sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to changing priorities and customer needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based applications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby-Smith vision and values to customers.
• Prepares quotations highlighting features, benefits, and financing options.
• Maintains product knowledge through training and self-study.
• Develops relationships with customers and identifies needs.
• Keeps management informed of territory changes and opportunities.
• Prospects and expands the customer base within the territory.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of paperwork and contracts.
• Performs other job-related duties and maintains reliable attendance.
