Job summary

PPG Industries in the United States is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for the Johnstone’s Stormshield Render and EWI business. This field-based role covers the southern region and focuses on expanding relationships with social housing asset management teams, designers, architects and contractors through a consultative approach.

Qualifications

• Over 2 years' experience in a product sales role in construction.
• Knowledge of contractual relationships and applicable legislation.
• Ability to prepare reports and presentations and to meet deadlines.
• Role requires travel within/without the territory and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Survey, design and specify custom technical EWI & Render documentation / specification following business / industry standards for main clients and contractors.
• Develop a network of A&D practices, New Build designers, Retrofit designers and design engineers to work with the A&D development managers on opportunities relating to Render & EWI.
• Identify social housing decarbonisation and retrofit refurbishment opportunities with asset management teams and design/delivery teams.
• Support the national network of installers; deliver EWI training to contractors and individuals before supply of full EWI systems.
• Train and upskill PPG employees in trade business to share basic technical understanding, best practices and product/system training.
• Work within a pricing structure and support the trade business with material/system calculations to secure sales.
• Adopt a consultative sales approach to uncover and secure new project leads and understand project drivers.
