Reporting Line

Regional Technical Advisor Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will propose technical solutions and work on consulting assignments. Daily tasks include executing low-complexity assignments within established standards and timelines, and providing support and technical advice to colleagues. The work model is remote. You will contribute to the Process Automation Energy Industries division, mainly responsible for:

  1. Proposing technical solutions and executing consulting assignments using established standards, methods, and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues.
  2. Recommending consulting services and solutions to meet customer needs.
  3. Leading sales activities to secure consulting assignments of up to 500 hours and negotiating with the responsible persons at customer organizations.
  4. Overseeing and delivering consulting assignments and managing contracts, including invoicing and work in progress.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation, or Process Control-related fields, or military experience, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, software, process automation, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB control systems like 800xA, Harmony, or Symphony Plus. Additional training will be provided.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, with excellent troubleshooting, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, customer focus, and professional attitude.
  • Fluent in English and holding a valid driver’s license.
  • Willing to travel extensively (80%+ overnight travel).
