This position reports to

Regional Technical Advisor Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to propose technical solutions and work on consulting assignments. You will execute low-complexity assignments as per timelines and standards, using established solutions. You will also provide support and technical advice to colleagues. The work model is remote. This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Proposing technical solutions and working on consulting assignments using established standards, methods, and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues.
  2. Recommending consulting services and solutions to meet customer needs.
  3. Leading sales activities to win consulting assignments of up to 500 hours and negotiating directly with responsible persons at customer organizations.
  4. Overseeing and delivering consulting assignments and contract management activities (invoicing, work in progress, etc.).

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation, or a Process Control related field, military experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, software, process automation, networking, cyber security, and ABB 800xA, Harmony, or Symphony Plus Distributed Control Systems is a plus. Additional training will be provided.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with excellent troubleshooting skills, commitment to excellence, effective communication, problem-solving skills, teamwork, technical orientation, customer focus, and professionalism.
  • Fluent in English and holds a valid driver’s license.
  • Willing to travel, with 80%+ overnight travel required.
