RHA Health Services is hiring for the NC START Assistant Director position in Eastern North Carolina. The role provides clinical and programmatic oversight to Qualified Professionals and Team Leaders delivering behavioral health services across a regional footprint.

You will supervise staff, manage referrals and crises, and support transitions of care while helping the organization meet targets and maintain high-quality care for individuals with IDD and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human service field and 1+ years’ full-time experience with population served.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating across clinical and paraprofessional staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary team leader supporting individuals with IDD and Mental Health challenges enrolled in START.
• Coordinates and monitors referrals and waitlist for START.
• Collaborates with paraprofessional and clinical staff to ensure consistent procedures and feedback.
• Provides clinical or administrative supervision to all employees under supervision.
• Assist Regional Director in transitions to appropriate levels of care and staffing, as needed.
• Promote harmony among staff and reinforce site objectives and strategies.
• Ensure face-to-face interventions outside the facility and required contact numbers per service definition.
• Participate in financial maintenance, budget monitoring, and action plans to meet targets.
• Assist in resolving complaints and model professional behavior for staff and clients.
• Demonstrate strong therapeutic communication and behavioral interviewing to identify needs.
