Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Field Support Specialist to provide advanced corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across multiple solar facilities in California. The role travels extensively and is based on a full-time jobsite with travel to various sites as needed.

You will diagnose electrical issues on PV arrays, inverters, and MV equipment, utilizing SCADA and CMMS for documentation. Collaborate with field leads and management to improve reliability while upholding rigorous safety

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; technical school training a plus.
Associates Degree or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Mechanics preferred.
Minimum three years of experience in utility-scale solar and/or related electrical power industry.
Strong understanding of safe electrical and mechanical practices.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety and enforce safe practices on site.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and repair of solar equipment with minimal supervision.
Serve as regional technical resource for corrective maintenance and escalated issues across multiple sites.
Travel approximately 75% to support maintenance activities within the region.
Document time, materials, actions, and closeout records with detailed reports.
