Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Field Support Specialist to provide advanced corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across multiple solar facilities. The role travels extensively within California and is based on a jobsite, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

The position requires 3+ years in utility-scale solar, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and the ability to work independently at remote locations. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 75% and maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical training a plus; Associate degree or certificate in Electronics/Electrical Technology/Mechanics preferred
• Minimum three years of experience in utility-scale solar or related electrical power industry
• Strong corrective maintenance and troubleshooting background
• Demonstrated understanding of safe electrical and mechanical practices
• OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred)
• NFPA 70E Safety Training certification required
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to travel up to ~75%

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and repair of solar equipment and systems across multiple sites
• Serve as a regional technical resource for corrective maintenance, NCS items, and escalated issues
• Travel extensively (about 75%) to support maintenance activities within the region
• Maintain thorough documentation, work orders, and technical reports
• Operate safely and adhere to site procedures and work controls
