Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking a Regional Service Technician to manage a service zone and assist other zones to ensure service calls meet SLA. This role requires travel and may involve use of a company or personal vehicle, with strict mileage and maintenance records.

You will troubleshoot IT hardware/software in retail or office settings, maintain inventory and update tickets daily with details, notes, parts usage and resolutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• AS/BS Degree in a related technical field highly desired but not required.
• Industry Certifications such as A+, Net+, Server+, or similar are highly desired.
• Minimum of 1 year Point of Sale repair, Network Equipment repair and PC repair experience highly desired.
• Minimum 1-year Break Fix or Network experience in Retail or Office setting preferred.
• Must be Safety Oriented and possess excellent Driving Habits and a clean MVR.
• Must Show good mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment to a sub-assembly level.
• Willingness to travel 75-100% (Preferred).
• Ability to operate and maintain various tools and testers used to troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; documentation skills required.
• On-call evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned service zone and assist in other zones to meet SLA.
• Maintain vehicle or mileage records if using a personal vehicle.
• Keep accurate records for mileage reimbursement and vehicle maintenance.
• Troubleshoot IT hardware/software in retail/office environments.
• Maintain inventory locations and parts movements; ship defective parts promptly.
• Excel in customer service and professional appearance for customers.
• Update tickets daily with status, notes, equipment details, and resolutions.
