Job summary

Autocar, LLC in Birmingham, AL, a leader in severe-duty vocational trucks, seeks a Regional Service Manager to oversee service delivery for dealerships and customers in the Remote/San Francisco area. You will troubleshoot, support, and ensure satisfaction with service work across the region.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering and Autocar Solutions Team, developing corrective action plans, and building strong relationships with regional managers and national accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Class B CDL or ability to obtain one.
• ASE Certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service delivery and customer satisfaction for the region.
• Help dealers with corrective action plans to close service gaps.
• Track and report product/technical issues with Autocar Solutions Team.
• Advise dealers on improving service operations and ensure trained technicians.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer organizations and regional managers.
• Coordinate with engineering to meet performance and quality specifications.

Summary:

The Regional Service Managerposition is responsible for managingall aspects of service fordealerships andcustomers and ensuressatisfaction with service work.Assist customersand dealers with troubleshooting and repair of service-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall service deliveryperformance levels andcustomer satisfaction levelsof assigned Region.
• Assists indevelopingcorrective action plans with assigneddealerships and customersto close any service delivery gaps identified.
• Tracks,reportsand follows-up on product and technical issuesfor dealerships and customersby proactively working with Autocar Solutions Team
• Gives dealerships suggestions on improving their service department by reviewing dealer service operations to include required tooling, Promote and ensure dealership has Autocar trained technicians to handle workload.
• Developsand managesstrong relationships at all levels of the customer’s organizationand maintains customer confidence in the Autocar product.
• Develop strong relationships with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales in their region
• Coordinateswith engineering and technical service departments to develop and ensure that service performance and quality specifications are met.
• Coordinates cost effective, self-managed travel schedules.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor'sdegree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; orthree to fiveyears related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Class B- Commercial Driver Licenseor ability to obtainisrequired.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certificationor ability to obtainisrequired.
• Cummins Certification ispreferred.
• Allison Certification ispreferred.
• Ability to Autocar Master Technician Certification

Experience:

• Previous experience in the Heavy-Duty Truck industry is required, specific experience in the Refuse industry is preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• A thorough working knowledge of:

• MS Office
• AXIS (Team Center Engineering - IMAN, QAD, ADNET)preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while working on computer-aided design software.
• Capable of standing, walking, and bending during lab testing or production floor visits.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, such as electrical components or testing equipment.
• Visual acuity for reviewing detailed schematics, inspecting prototypes, and using computer screens.
