Job summary

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is seeking a Regional Service Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple locations in the U.S. This role focuses on safe, efficient, and profitable service delivery, device downtime reduction, and high vehicle readiness.

You will partner with branch leaders and fleet teams to optimize performance and cost control. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in heavy-duty fleet maintenance, 3+ years managing multiple sites, and strong knowledge of diesel engines,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance, fleet maintenance, transportation, rental and leasing, or a related service environment.
• Minimum of three years of experience managing multiple service locations, departments, or operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, commercial trucks, preventive maintenance programs, diagnostic procedures, and fleet repair operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing service performance, budgets, labor productivity, repair costs, and vehicle downtime.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, environmental, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and operational support to service managers, shop supervisors, technicians, and other service team members across the region.
• Establish consistent service procedures, performance expectations, and operating standards across all locations.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules, repair quality, vehicle downtime, work orders, and fleet availability.
• Ensure rental and lease vehicles are properly maintained and returned to service safely and efficiently.
• Review regional service performance, including productivity, labor utilization, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop strategies to improve service profitability and fleet performance.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and development of service leaders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
