Job summary

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. is seeking an Area Service Manager to lead service performance across a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage System sites in the Central California region.

You will own contractual KPIs, drive resource optimization, and manage regional teams of technicians, engineers, and site leads to ensure high availability and safety. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Power/Energy Engineering, 5–8+ years of renewable energy or BESS operations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power, or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years managing technical teams.
• 5–8+ years in renewable energy, power systems, or BESS operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Strong leadership and customer management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver area-level service KPIs, including contractual availability, PM compliance, response time, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor performance across all assigned sites and identify risks, trends, and underperformance proactively.
• Develop and drive recovery plans for underperforming sites, including escalation management.
• Lead and manage multiple site-based teams, including technicians, engineers, and site leads; optimize labor allocation across sites.
• Ensure consistent execution of service standards, procedures, and best practices; enforce OEM guidelines and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Warranty, Commercial, and Project Management to resolve issues.
• Manage vendor performance and service delivery, including escalation as needed.
• Provide input into cost management, forecasting, and service delivery planning.
