Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care ( UCHC ) seeks a Regional Scheduler to handle consultation requests for Northern State Prison, Newark, NJ. You will manage the inmate care scheduling, transportation logistics, and liaise with the statewide ombudsperson on escalated issues.

Responsibilities include processing forms, scheduling, and documenting investigations into healthcare grievances. A full onsite work arrangement is required, with Rutgers benefits and a structured pay scale.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical office or hospital experience including medical records clerical duties.
• Experience maintaining confidential relationships.

Responsibilities

• Process all consultation forms and scheduling for facilities, including on-site and off-site appointments.
• Arrange transportation of patients for appointments.
• Review and investigate inmate healthcare grievances and document findings.
