Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Regional Scheduler to work at Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, New Jersey. Under the guidance of the Administrator, the Regional Scheduler processes consultation requests and coordinates scheduling for on-site and off-site appointments.

The role interfaces with the Statewide Ombudsperson, reviews inmate grievances, and maintains medical records with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of medical office or hospital experience including medical records clerical duties.
• Experience maintaining confidential relationships.

Responsibilities

• Process all consultation request forms and related paperwork for the facilities, including entries into the Inmate Eligibility System and scheduling for on-site and off-site appointments; arrange transportation of patients.
• Review and investigate inmate grievances related to healthcare with written reports per policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
