Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) seeks a Regional Scheduler to work at Northern State Prison, Newark, NJ. Under the Administrator, the Regional Scheduler processes all consultation requests and related documentation for the facility.

The role interfaces with the Statewide Ombudsperson on state-level concerns. The position requires full onsite work, 40 hours, and offers benefits including medical, dental, vacation, retirement, education benefits, life insurance, and employee

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years of medical office or hospital experience with medical records clerical duties.
• Valid driver’s license required with own vehicle or transportation between sites.

Responsibilities

• Process all consultation request forms and related paperwork for the facilities, including entering requests into the Inmate Eligibility System.
• Schedule all clinic appointments and off-site appointments; arrange transportation for patients.
• Review and investigate inmate health care grievances and finalize reports; perform related duties as assigned.
