Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) seeks a Regional Scheduler for Northern State Prison in Newark, NJ. Under administrative guidance, you will manage consultation requests, scheduling, and documentation for the facility and interface with the statewide ombudsperson on state-level concerns.

Responsibilities include processing forms, scheduling, transportation arrangements, and investigating inmate grievances with formal written reports.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Minimum of three years of medical office or hospital experience including medical records clerical duties.
• Experience maintaining confidential relationships.

Responsibilities

• Process all consultation request forms and related paperwork for facilities, including entries into the Inmate Eligibility System and scheduling for on-site and off-site appointments.
• Arrange transportation of patients for appointments as needed.
• Review inmate grievances related to healthcare through records and interviews, and draft reports per policy.
