Job summary

AkzoNobel seeks a seasoned Area Sales leader to drive sales across Texas and neighboring states. You will manage designated accounts, implement CRM/IBP initiatives, and craft regional strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Business Management with 5+ years in commercial roles in related industries, and must be willing to travel up to 50% including overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in commercial or sales roles in aerospace, paints and coatings, or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of cross-functional processes.
• Excellent leadership, project management and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% with overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Effectively engage, develop and lead designated accounts within area sales.
• Roll-out segment sales programs and CRM implementations.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and deliver top and bottom line results for the region.
• Plan, monitor and report on sales activities for indirect and direct channels.
• Identify opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to grow or protect business.
• Provide demand forecast for regional sales plans aligned with IBP.
• Drive continuous improvement to add value for customers and efficiency.
• Support sales, customer services and technical teams to ensure high service levels.
• Adhere to all policies and health, safety and environmental standards.
