Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Compressor Valves in the U.S. to drive sales performance and market penetration across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

You will manage the full sales cycle, build key accounts, and lead cross-functional efforts with inside sales and marketing to grow revenue. The role requires 3+ years of direct sales experience in industrial equipment or gas compression, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of proven success in direct sales or customer service, ideally in industrial equipment or the gas compression sector within Oil & Gas.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or commensurate experience that demonstrates comparable skills and knowledge.
  • Strong organizational abilities, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and a result-oriented approach, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key accounts and decision-makers, ensuring a deep understanding of their operational needs and challenges.
  • Formulate and execute dynamic sales plans that are aligned with corporate objectives and tailored to evolving industry trends.
  • Conduct personalized sales presentations and technical product demonstrations that clearly communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with inside sales and marketing teams to leverage leads and market intelligence, transforming opportunities into closed sales.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and prepare competitive proposals that meet client expectations while ensuring profitability.
  • Manage sales lifecycle data meticulously in CRM tools, ensuring accurate tracking of customer engagement and sales progress.
  • Act as a company ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to elevate brand visibility and network with potential clients.
  • Provide continuous feedback and share insights on market developments, competition, and customer needs with internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.

As the Regional Sales Manager - Compressor Valves Sales Representative, you will take a pivotal role in driving the sales performance and market penetration of our compressor valve product line across your designated territory. Reporting directly to the Director of North American Sales, your responsibilities encompass the end-to-end management of the sales cycle, from identifying prospective clients to closing deals and fostering long-term relationships that support sustainable business growth. In this role, you will focus on key segments within the Oil and Gas industry—specifically upstream, midstream, and downstream areas—while also targeting strategic sectors such as Rental Compression Companies and Packagers. Your mission is to create tailored sales strategies that resonate with market demands, enabling you to surpass revenue objectives and solidify our market share.

  • Track record of successfully marketing innovative or disruptive products in a competitive landscape.
  • Insight into major operators and key customers in the Greater Northeast Market including Energy Transfer, MPLX, Boardwalk Pipeline, Williams Co., Shell, Berkshire Hathaway, Kinder Morgan, Antero Midstream, among others.
