The Regional Sales Manager will drive business development and revenue growth across an assigned territory within the hydropower and renewable energy sector. This role combines strategic account management, customer relationship development, and commercial negotiation to achieve order intake and profitability targets. You will build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms. Working closely with internal teams, you will lead bid strategies, oversee proposal development, and negotiate contracts that align with customer needs and business objectives. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy projects while strengthening long-term partnerships. Success requires commercial acumen, technical awareness, and a proactive approach to regional sales growth.

Accountabilities
  • Achieve regional order intake targets while maintaining profitability objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain Key Account Management (KAM) strategies based on customer structures, key influencers, and decision-making processes.
  • Manage customer relationships across the assigned territory, proactively escalating issues that could affect customer satisfaction or business outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare sales reports, and develop reliable forecasts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, EPC firms, U.S. companies, and relevant government agencies that influence regional business opportunities.
  • Review technical and commercial requirements outlined in customer requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Lead the development of competitive bid strategies and communicate customers’ key priorities to internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the bidding process and contract negotiations, through final contract completion.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather the information and feedback needed to prepare proposals.
  • Prepare bids and proposals that meet customer requirements and align with business objectives.
  • Request and coordinate subcontractor bids when required during proposal preparation.
  • Coordinate contract documentation, update proposal scope-of-supply details, and complete contract release documentation.
  • Negotiate final contracts with customers and coordinate their release within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of business and marketing concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze data, evaluate commercial and technical requirements, and apply critical thinking to business decisions.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may involve extended periods of sitting.
  • No specific license or certification is required.
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match.
  • Disability, life, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses using pre-tax contributions.
  • Paid time off, with benefits increasing based on length of service.
  • A positive, collaborative workplace culture.
