Job description

REMOTE. MUST LIVE IN A MIDWESTERN STATE (IN, IL, WI, MO).

Talis Group’s client, a design and manufacturer of innovative conveyor and automated material handling technology, is looking for a successful Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest region of the U.S. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and developing strategies to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background in material handling systems, a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, and a successful history in industrial sales management.

Strong base salary of $100 – 120K + commission/bonus plan. Expected earning potential to $200K+.

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:
  1. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the region.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers, and strategic partners.
  3. Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share.
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction and address concerns proactively.
  5. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  6. Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams.
  7. Ensure alignment of sales goals, product availability, and pricing strategies.
  8. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
  9. Ensure cost-efficiency in all sales operations.
  10. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, ideally in the material handling or automation industry.
  2. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in manufacturing-focused sales in large territories.
  3. Technical knowledge of conveyor systems or automation solutions.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Extensive travel throughout the assigned region.
  8. Valid driver’s license.
