Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales within a specific regional geography, focusing on new customer acquisition, customer retention, and growth opportunities with current customer base. The role involves managing relationships with current and prospective customers, supporting regional sales needs, and driving market growth, particularly within enterprise segments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts within a specified region.
  2. Coordinate with company support, service, and management resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations.
  3. Meet targets for profitable sales volume and customer satisfaction.
  4. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs.
  5. Achieve sales quotas and profitability expectations.
  6. Develop and maintain customer account plans according to company standards.
  7. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  8. Complete required training and development objectives.
  9. Maintain a long-term sales pipeline with appropriate actions for revenue growth.
  10. Work with international teams across multiple time zones and travel frequently.
  11. Utilize CRM tools for account management and lead generation.
  12. Participate in trade shows and cross-departmental collaborations.
  13. Provide regular sales reports and updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant sales experience, particularly in IT Security and/or Networking markets.
  • Experience managing demanding customer accounts in complex sales environments.
  • Proven success in indirect channel sales and direct sales strategies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to deliver compelling value propositions.
  • Reside in the respective region (NJ or PA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Start-up experience with a strong track record of achievement.
